Synom Model School, Kubwa Abuja recently held her end of the year and graduation at the school premises. It was an opportunity to educate its parents on education for total transformation.

Speaking on the theme of the event, the chairman of the day, Mr Famiwa drew the attention of parents to the consequences of exposing children to vices inadvertently and called on parents to rise up to the onerous task of transforming the children through education.

The Guest speaker at the occasion, ‘Seun Ibukun-Oni, the publisher of Daily Courier addressed the minds of the parents to the trite make-up of man (spirit, mind and body) and how to use psychomotor, affective and cognitive skills for the total educational transformation of their children.

On a practical level he urged parents to get their priorities right to cover the three make-up of man; know the source of their education bearing in mind that education can either be a blessing or a curse.

He asked parents to be an active part of their children’s educational transformation while insisting on total transformation for them.

“I’m aware of the harsh economic realities and the competing demands for our time but don’t forget that it is better to prepare a child than to repair an adult. The cost of raising a child is sacrifice but the price for repairing an adult is regret. So, choose the one you wish to pay” he concluded.

The Proprietress, Mrs Pauline Jarkada shared with parents the need to prioritize the education of children for total transformation as doing otherwise would not be in their interest.

The pupils treated parents to incisive, insightful and entertaining performances ranging from dance, music to drama across all the classes.

Deserving pupils were also presented with prizes to draw the curtain on what was an epoch making event.
